Wow - I have never been happy with any sausage gravy I have attempted or that anyone has even made at home for that matter until now. This was easy and perfect. My husband loved it as well. I will be making this again and again.

Sounded like it had all the elements of a great breakfast casserole - so I used breakfast sausage instead. It was really really good! Since I had never made it before I was expecting it to have a dry bisquit like texture (it did not) but since that is what I thought it would be like I made sausage gravy too. It did not need the gravy but it was pretty great with it anyway. Definite have again!

Easy and very tasty but not perfect. Apples turned very mushy. Will have again...might cook less.
