I have been using this marinade for a couple of years now and decided to finally write a review. I have made this for multiple people with various types of steaks and have had nothing but rave reviews. I've had multiple people ask me for the recipe. When I made the marinade, I don't use the liquid smoke just because I am not a fan of it. Sometimes I use half the honey and other times I don't use honey at all. I think I prefer it without the honey. Also, the marinade times have been different. There have been times when I have used my foodsaver and put the steak and marinade together and food saved it and then froze it for a week, marinaded it for a couple of days, and even marinaded it for an hour. All of come out excellent. This is definitely my favorite marinade!

I really like this recipe. Everything comes together really well. I made a few changes. The first change was with the tortillas. Enchiladas are made with corn tortillas not flour. The first time I used flour just to see how it tasted and I did not like it at all. Second, I use red onions rather than green. Last, I put cheese in the enchiladas and on top. Thanks for sharing this. This has become one of my family's favorites!

This recipe is sooooo good! The rice came out awesome and is so much better than the spanish rice I have had in restaurants. I pretty much followed the directions other than I left out the cinnamon, used chicken broth instead of cubes and omitted the picante sauce. The recipe was still great and I will definitely make this again!
