About this Cook
I just recently married my husband, a soldier in the US Army. We're originally from Minnesota and love comfort foods above most everything else. I'm a student at a private liberal arts college and spend most of my time with friends who like to encourage me in my faith.
My cooking triumphs
My friends love my cookies and carrot cake. They say they're the best they've ever had.

Famous Pork Chops
When I told my husband what was on the menu for the night, he promptly told me that porkchops aren't supposed to be breaded. And then he ate one... which turned into three! We both absolutely loved it (and I'm not big on pork!). Next time I'll use one fewer egg though... no sense in wasting anything!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder
Left out the processed cheese, added a can of corn and a can of creamed corn as per other suggestions. One of the best chowders I've ever had. Serve it with shredded cheese and pepper to taste. Awesome!

Kids Favorite Meatloaf
I misplaced my meatloaf recipe so gave this one a try instead. I left out the Worcestershire sauce and replaced the cereal with oatmeal to account for things I already had. This is definitely our new meatloaf recipe. I might even make an extra loaf next time so we can have more leftovers!
