I smelled this cooking and had a flashback to when I was a kid in the kitchen of my great grandmother, Ruby Ortiz, who was once married to the mayor of Santa Fe. Very authentic, yummy recipe!

I looked at this recipe and thought, "hmm... looks to me like I'm about to burn some kale." Then I thought, "nah, it can't be... it has such a high rating!" I followed the recipe to the letter, and sure enough, had to run my pan of charred kale out the back door while the smoke alarm blared inside. What did I do wrong?
