I live with my husband and we raise Teacup Pomeranians and Pom-A-Poos. We live in the "great white north" of Canada right on the US/Canadian border. I love to cook with my husband who is quite accomplished at it. I also make my own organic homemade doggie cookies. My babies go nuts for them and the puppy-parents who buy my puppies also buy them for their own babies.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, cook Italian; Mexican; Southern and Asian. I love to try new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandma was from the hills of Idaho and was an excellent cook of just down home country cooking. I love to prepare her old recipes for my husband and friends.
My cooking triumphs
My husband and I did all of the cooking for our wedding and the guests went crazy for it. After 5 years we still have people stopping us in the grocery store asking us how to make the stuff we had at our wedding. I have catered for friends & family for birthdays and for funeral dinners. We entertain often and have never had a complaint.
My cooking tragedies
When I was 18 I made spegetti sauce in a crock pot on one occasion. I used raw hamburger and needless to say, I gave everyone food poisoning. I have NEVER put raw hamburger in a crock pot again. Advice to others ... ALWAYS pre-cook your ground beef before adding to a crock pot recipe.
