Real Italian Calzones

These were alright. Didn't use cheddar, dough was extremely wet so I added more flour.

We have made this sauce many times, we love it. My husband especially loves it since he is on a low sodium diet. Thank you for sharing!

Very good, next time I will use just a splash of oil, and not as much soy sauce.

Layered Peppermint Bark

This turned out excellent exactly as written. SO rich and yummy. Way better than any store bought peppermint bark we have ever tried. Two thumbs up!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
I have finally found the perfect salsa recipe! I used lemon instead of lime because I didn't have a lime. I think it is important to use Hunt's stewed tomatoes, not just any tomatoes. Also, drain them like previous posters have suggested. We prefer about 1/2 the cilantro because once in the fridge, it gets very strong. Great recipe though!

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
This was okay. My husband LOVES honey mustard anything, but he said this one "wasn't too bad". I thought it was way too sweet. Perhaps marinating the chicken in the honey mustard sauce overnight might make it more flavorful, after reducing the honey or adding more mustard.

Lemon Sauce for Salmon Patties

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
This turned out waaay too thick, and kind of tasted like mashed potatoes to us. Needs more salt, lemon juice and milk to thin it, or maybe use 1/2 the flour. With a lot of tweaking, it would be great.

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
This is the tastiest salmon patty recipe I have ever eaten! We also had friends over, they all love them, even my 2 yr old. The only thing I tweaked was adding fresh lemon juice to them, and I sauteed them in lemon olive oil. A family favorite, for sure.

I just have to say this is THE best cake I have ever tasted in my entire life! I used margarine instead of butter, it was fantastic! I also made home made whipped cream and drizzled strawberries on top. I can't get over how great it was!!!

Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
I made this recipe for my daughter's birthday party (mostly carnivores were there) and no one noticed they didn't contain meat!!!! I had one guest ask me for the recipe and when I gave it to her she was shocked to see there is no meat in them! I used apricot pineapple jam for the sauce and added a little more onion than recommended. I have found a family favorite, thank you so much!
