Made this last night and it was a big hit with the whole family! I doubled the ricotta cheese adding some nutmeg,used 2 tbl brown sugar v.s. white (my great grandmothers secret, great adding a little to spagettie also) added 1 can of diced italian season tomatos, didn't use the whole can crushed tomatos (maybe 4 oz left), used a full lb extra lean ground beef, and soaked my noodles (only 9) 30 mins in hot water. I simmered sauce for only 1 hour and it was still great, I made three layers and baked 375 for 50 mins removed tinfoil and baked 10-15 more mins. I had enough sauce left over for the polenta I'm making Sunday!
