I followed another reviewer's advice and allowed these to rest a few minutes prior to baking, and then brushed with egg wash before popping in the oven. After baking for the allocated 8 minutes, I brushed them with melted Cinnamon/Sugar Country Crock and then sprinkled with Domino Cinnamon/Sugar mix.
I followed the recipe exactly, and these came out fine. The dough was easy to work with, and I had no trouble at all in rolling out ropes approx. 3 feet long. Once baked, they puff up quite a bit and look very appealing. The taste is somewhat bland, but it's not because your flour might be stale, I think the recipe needs more salt. Other than that, I would make these again. They were very easy and fun to make.
