My momma, awesome cook, started teaching me how to cook when I was very young. I have never stopped learning. My family and friends say I have the gift of being able to take little of nothing and create a meal out of it. I feel like a sponge soaking up food knowledge anywhere I can. I love the every so educational, Food Network! I collect cookbooks. I will attempt to cook anything at least once, but I just love to get creative and cook. Southern cooking, of course. Cathead biscuits with Momma's Sunday pot roast and brown gravy, green beans and potatoes, glazed carrots topped off with a jug of sweet tea. Mom would put the roast in the oven before we went to church and when we came home...the house would be filled with the wonderful, savory aroma of roasted beef. With a house full of seven....It Was On! Thanksgiving; when everybody starts cooking the night before. Christmas morning breakfast at my house! My niece, Courtney, made me a personalized cookbook for my birthday so I can put my "CONCOTIONS" down in writing. I love to get creative in the kitchen. I went to Mexico years ago and everything I cooked was awful. Much time passed and one day it dawned on me it was probably the altitude that caused everything to flop. Live and learn!
