About this Cook
I am recently married, and new to New Jersey! It's so weird to live three blocks from a skyline view of NYC.
My favorite things to cook
I L-O-V-E Italian. Pasta.. alfredo.. CARBS. Also I LOVE sweets. I've got a terrible sweet tooth.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love Thanksgiving. My Grandma makes the absolutely best food. My family grew up on mashed potatoes and meat. We're an Irish-German-Scottish family.. what did you expect?
My cooking triumphs
My favorite dish I've made was a variation of chicken alfredo. I stir fried the chicken and threw in parmigiana bread on the chicken while stir frying. It gave it a very light coating. Then I stir-fried mushrooms in garlic and mixed it all together. It was so good and flavorful.
My cooking tragedies
Peruvian cheesy potatoes.. my god. It was terrible. I don't even want to talk about it!!

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops
This was good. I doctored it up a little. I added some mozzarella cheese on top, I used reduced fat mushroom soup, skim milk, added more garlic powder, and I used mashed potatoes instead. The sauce made a wonderful gravy. I used thin lean cut pork chops, so I would suggest 30 mins covered and maybe 10 mins uncovered, maybe less.

Paprika Potatoes
While this is a good concept, I think it came out poorly. It took way to long to cook. And it did not have enough spice to it. I added garlic, pepper, and salt in addition to the paprika, and they were still fairly bland. I would suggest baking or boiling the potatoes PRIOR to cooking these in a pan.

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries
These were good! It took me a few fries to get the crispness correct. But the mix was yummy!
