Cool Watermelon Slushes

Nice idea for left over watermelon! I added some lemonade, nice refreshing treat. You could also freeze this into ice cubes for other summer drinks or popcicles for the kids.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

I couldn't find the recipe I usually use so I decided to go with this one. I followed the recipe exactly; I wish I had run a test batch before putting a whole cookie sheet full in the oven. My first ones came out flat, thes spead like crazy. I turned down the over to 325 (I have an electric stove) and the second batch was in the fridge with the first one were baking. They still spread out but were not as flat as the first. The 3rd were also put in the fridge and they came out the best but still nothing like the photo. I do like the flavor of these cookies but don't like how flat and wide they got.

Grilled Lamb with Brown Sugar Glaze

I have made this recipe about three times now and love it!! My 7yr old actually asks for this. Here are my modifications. I didn't have Tarragon so that was ommitted. I used rack of lamb instead of chops and added just a bit of cloves. Turns out really nice! Love this recipe.

Wonton Soup

This is such an easy recipe to pull together! My husband and I loved it. I did make some adjustments, I typically don't measure while cooking; I ended up adding more ginger which I love anyways and used a whole green onion. I didn't have rice wine so I used rice vinegar instead and it came out fine. I also added roasted pork from the Asian market..YUM!
