My name is Diana, and I am 21. I am blessed to live with my son Jonny (3) and my boyfriend Colin(26) in a tiny apartment with an even tinier (sp?) kitchen. I make it work! My only requirement was that the oven be big enough for a 15-20 lb turkey. :-P
My favorite things to cook
I love chicken breast, it is the best flavor medium in my opinion. I am also particularly talented with asparagus, muffins made from scratch (mmmm fresh blueberries, just the smell is enough to reel someone in!), and drinks like smoothies and those in the alcoholic category.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Quick and cheap meals. We were on social security when I was a kid, due to my father's illness, and my mom found a way to make quick and mostly yummy meals. I mean, sometimes we got stuck with store brand macaroni and cheese and sometimes it was Hamburger Helper, but the woman did whatever she could. I will always treasure our meals with extended family around the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
I can cook spinach without killing the flavor! Woohoo!
My cooking tragedies
Oh, don't let me near the bacon. Just don't do it. And I can't figure out how to make a moist porkchop. Others will say they are moist, but not good enough for me!
