About this Cook
I'm married with 2 kids aged 17 and 13. My husband is the better cook of the two of us but I do have a few things that I enjoy cooking for my family. I prefer having someone cook for me (hubbie or restaurant) and to spend time working on art projects. I'm exploring more recipes and learning to "relax" in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
Taco soup, omelettes

Slow Cooker Pizza
Just like a pizza but without the crust! I didn't layer the ingredients and it turned out fine. This is a recipe that you can "customize" to fit your own palette. I added some red onion and used cute bowtie pasta instead of the rigatoni. I pre-cooked the pasta for half of the suggested time before adding it to the pot to eliminate soggy noodles.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
This was my first slow cooker attempt - and now I'm happy I bought the cooker! This recipe was easy to make, delicious to eat, and was loved by my entire family. I added baby carrots, 1/2 cup of red wine, and onion soup mix rather than the Italian mix 'cause that's what I had. I used 4 whole breasts rather than cubbing it first. In the final 30 minutes, I added 1/2 cup of sour cream along with the stated ingredients. Yum!
