This is not white cake. It tasted like shortcake, I ended up having to make another cake. Although I did turn it into a good cake, just wasn't what I was looking for. I used creamcheese and coolwhip frosting and strawberries in the middle mixed in. It was tasty but not what it claims to be.

I work at Max and Erma's and have been trying to make cookies like theirs for a while now. This is the closest I got. I did take the advice of one review by using 1 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar and using baking powder not soda. I also use dark brown sugar for a richer cookie. This is my recipe!! Finally found it!
