Pina Colada I

Didn't try this although it sounds like an interesting variety. I'm curious why someone would make a pina colada in the first place if they'll "stick with wine." I'll try this at some point, but it does sound like it might need some modifications with the half and half. Thanks for the idea!

Pina Colada Pie

This was delicious. I made it for my boyfriends birthday. I left out the cherries, just because he doesn't like them. I added a little coconut to the mixture for the pie, and put lots of toasted coconut on top. I didn't think the rum flavor was too much or too little, but I didn't want that strong of a flavor, as other reviewers said. Great recipe! He loved it!

Indian Chicken Curry II

This was really good. I followed another posters advice and heated up the curry powder first, then gradually added the other spices, heating them up. I don't know if this made a significant difference because I hadn't made this the original way, but it was very good. I used Hot Curry Powder by Penzey's, which I think makes a difference. I also added a couple more tablespoons of curry powder for additional spice. It was excellent, and simple. I think next time I'll add peas and maybe another vegetable, and extra chicken. Cilantro would probably be an excellent addition, as well.

Spinach, Red Lentil, and Bean Curry

I have to agree that this was pretty bland. I took another posters advice and sauteed the onions with extra spices (aside from what was separatly mixed with the tomato paste.) After adding all the beans, it was terribly bland, so I kept adding and adding spices. Still bland, but not horrible. A decent meal, but definitly need to figure out some way to give it more flavor.

Sauerkraut-Stuffed Slow-Cooked Pork Roast

This was definitly very very tasty and not too overpowering with the sauerkraut. I was surprised. The only thing was I kept it in for 9 hours on low, maybe I should've only done 8. Next time I'll probably shred it at 7 hours, and put it back in (shredded) on low for another hour so it soaks up the juices, because leaving it in straight through that long made it a little dry. Delicious, though, and I will definitly make it again!

No Bake Double Good Dessert

This was simple (though very messy) and very very good. I had my doubts, but it came out wonderfully (used extra oreos, though) and it's good even after a few days when the oreos are softer.

Cracked Black Venison

At the advice of other reviewers, we used garlic powder with this recipe. We also used some extra bold indian peppercorns, (coarsely ground) which added a lot of nice flavor. I thought this was delicious, and the venison was not gamey. Simple and tasty.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

This made really good sausage pepper and onion sandwiches. Use good sauce! The sausage came out so tender and juicy, much better than the sandwiches at the Italian festival even!

I always add onion (sometimes pearl onions) and worstechire sauce, among some other things. I get creative to add flavor to this. Pretty good on its own, but I'd rather have more flavor.

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops

This was edible, probably because the BBQ sauce was good, but it was rather bland. I added onions as well, and it still just was not very good. Also, the meat was pretty dry and I added in way more sauce than suggested with less chops.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

This was amazing! Salty in a good way, the way it's supposed to be. I took another posters advice and cooked it on high for 5 hours, shred it, and on low for another hour. It came out juicy and delicious. Who knew 2 ingredients added to meat could taste so good?
