About this Cook
Hi! My name is chrissie (nickname momo) and I'm fifteen years old and finding out that cooking is a joy to me. I love coming on allrecipes.com like every single day and finding new, yummy recipes to try out. I'm gradually making my own cookbook of printed recipes. I love cooking for my family and they love being the guinea pigs of my food experiments!
My favorite things to cook
I used to go through phases where I would only make one thing and I would make that thing over and over and over again. First it was scones, then it was banana bread. Now I've "broadened my scope" and don't repeat recipes too often -- how can you when there are so many wonderful recipes yet to be tried??
My favorite family cooking traditions
For the Thanksgiving turkey, my mom always gives the turkey neck to me and my sisters to gnaw on. Some peoople think this is absolutely grotesque, but we love it!
My cooking triumphs
Sucessfully making a full dinner for my family -- including side dishes, a main dish and a delectable dessert.
My cooking tragedies
Um...no drastic ones (SO FAR), but I certainly have had my fair share of dumb little mistakes where I forget an essential ingredient. :\

Monkey Bread V
I made this monkey bread for my dad's birthday and he loved it (as did everyone else). I thought this recipe looked good and it suuuure was. I used those cans of refrigerated biscuit dough - the kind that pop when you open them! I had a lot of fun cutting them into random shapes and then putting them together like I was making a stone wall. If you think of it like that, it's really easy!

Honey Wheat Bread II
This was my first EVER time making bread and I used this recipe. It was so simple and I really enjoyed making it! The bread came out perfectly and tasted SO GOOD, I was thrilled. It took a lot more flour than I expected, that's for sure... ;)

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
This is very good bread, but I would highly reccomend cutting back on the sugar (I used 2 cups and it was still a very nice sweet bread). I didn't add any cloves either, but the nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger were perfect themselves!
