About this Cook
I'm a Dad that loves to cook. Whether it's for my family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers; I love to cook. Nothing is more pleasing to me than to to see everything I cook get devoured. Then I KNOW that nobody is just being nice when they say that they like it.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy grilling and smoking. I'm always trying something new, but mostly I enjoy cooking family favorites, and we have a lot of those.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hands down is the family peanut brittle recipe. (from my Grandmother) It's a competition in our family to see who makes it the best. OBVIOUSLY, I make the best. Everyone that eats it says that I should sell it...right.
My cooking triumphs
Smoking Texas-style brisket, smoked ribs, smoked chicken, and smoked whole-Ribeye.
My cooking tragedies
I'm still learning bread...I've had several failures.

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie II
This pie is incredible!! I found that it's much better if you let it freeze real hard overnight. Next time I'm going to put a layer of sliced bananas on the bottom....move over Elvis!!!

Sour Cream Pork Chops
This was da bomb!! Only thing I'll do different next time is to use boneless or thick-cut chops w/one bone. I used chops that had multiple bones...these chops WILL be fall-apart tender, so all of the little bones was kind of a hassle. But believe me...the taste is worth it!!
