I am a 56 (young) mother of 2, grandmother of 4,and after 24 years working in the casino industry, i suddenly found myself on the unemployment line.  I have always been considered a good cook by my Family and friends, so after moping around the house in a depressed state of shock, i found myself back in the kitchen, whipping up comfort food.Cheesecakes, chocolate chip cookiesand my families favorite latin food, arroz con gandules(drunken rice with pidgen peas), pork shoulder. so now not only am i unemployed but 10 lbs heavier!!!!! Today is my Boyfriends birthday, who is a pescatarian, and unbeknownst to him i am taking on this challenge of cooking his favoriteswith the help of allrecipes and his late mothers Orange baked Alaska chiffon cake recipe (she would bake this cake every year for his birthday, until her passing in 2002).  So wish me luck, and i will keep u guys informed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
