Not only is this one of the best ways to make a delicious onion ring, it is so versitile! I made this with a few moderations. I added some garlic powder, paprika, and dried parsley to the dry pancake batter. I then pre-coated them with the dry mix. After I made the pancake mix as directed (just add water). and coated them in that. I fried up 1/2 of them (350 degrees in the fryer for ~2-3 mins) just like that! Delicious. Then with the 2nd half i coated them in a breading mix (I used crushed up stuffing flavored croutons as it was the only thing I had on hand) and then fried those up too (same batter) and they were even better. this recipe was just so great I had so many compliments.

OMG it was so great. i'm really bad at flipping things so the crumbs kept coming off. But it was still SUPER crispy. also for all the people who said that it was great the next day, Good call!! Next tyme i'll make more lol.

They came out PERFECT. I just wished the batter stretched a little more. Next time I will double the recipe so I have more.
