My favorite things to cook
Muffins, granola bars, soups, breakfast burritos, stirfries, curries of any kind, pita pizzas, meat buns, vegetarian foods (I'm not a veggie, but they are always SO tasty!), and anything involving chicken...oh, and lemon pie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking together. I grew up cooking with Mom in the kitchen and now I do it with my husband (he'd burn water, but he sits and chats while we cook).
My cooking triumphs
Every year I cook my husband an elaborate meal on his birthday. Every year it's new food and we haven't had a bad choice yet!
My cooking tragedies
Once I was making Jambalaya and I ran out of something. I turned the pan to low (dumb I know) and ran to the store the street to get what I needed and ended up stopping and talking to someone, completely forgetting the food. When I go back the place was FULL of smoke and the alarm was going off. It smelled like burnt sausage for days...
