About this Cook
I'm 28 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 5 years. I own my own store, which is a bead/funky boutique, that's been open for nearly three years. Sometimes it can be very stressful and this website has been a huge stress reliever for me. In my spare time I like to workout, run, bead, cook/bake, shop and spend time with my niece and nephew. I've always liked to cook but I've really gotten into it the past couple of years and love collecting recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I would have to say desserts are my favorite items to cook and eat! I especially like to bake cookies. I also enjoy experimenting with making a traditional recipe healthy. I've been told I'm best at making chili and lasagna (both recipes from this site).
My favorite family cooking traditions
I only have one holiday cooking tradition and that's baking with my sisters and mom a couple weeks before Christmas. We make enough cookies and goodies to last until next Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Perfecting my chocolate chip and snicker doodle cookies. Although I do consider anything that I make that tastes good to be a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I've had many but don't let them slow me down.

Gooey Butter Cookies
Just made these cookies... I thought they were good but not great. Definitely quick and easy but I thought the texture was off a little bit. Just a little to cakey for me. Probably won't make again; will try a different recipe.

Spooky Witches Fingers
These cookies were so much fun to make and I thought they turned out great! I followed the recipe exactly and thought they tasted GREAT. I will for sure be making these for every Halloween.

Pumpkin Crunch Cake
O my Goodness... this cake was amazing!!!! It's pretty much just a jazzed up pumpkin pie. I took it to a friends house for dinner and impressed everyone. It was very simple to put together... they only thing I did differently was use unsalted butter. Perfect dessert for a cold fall evening.
