Hello. I love to find fast, easy, and low cost ways to cook. I like going to cooking contests. I have a 7 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. I enjoy getting my kids involved in cooking.
I'm working towards getting my Culinary Arts Degree. Classes I've taken: Specialty Breads, Intro to Breakfast/Pantry, Basic Cooking Principles, Wok/Oriental Cookery, Quality Assurance (Sanitation Class), and Introduction to Food Service.
My favorite things to cook
I love making spaghetti, but I make it too often. So I'm trying to find new ways making spaghetti. I heard of cooking spaghetti in a slow cooker.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom makes the best egg rolls! Hers is soft, a bit of a crunch, tasty, and not greasy at all. It can beat any restaurant. I've tried to look for good ones, but all the ones at the restaurants are too oily, hard, and not a lot of taste.
My cooking triumphs
I roasted a whole chicken for the first time, and it tasted really good. I just started chopping and throwing stuff together.
My cooking tragedies
Some of the recipes in my favorite cook book doesn't turn out what I expected. I've made really good dishes, then I tried to go by memory and turned out bland or very distasteful.
