Great recipe. Modifications/notes are follows:
-used 1 cup all purpose flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat; reduced sugar to 3/4 cup; reduced cloves to 1/4 cup;
added 1 tsp vanilla; omitted raisins; used 8X8 pan; cooled for 5 minutes before turning on cooling rack; and sprinkled confectioners sugar on top.
