Have been cooking/baking since I was 10 years old and cooking for company by the time I was 13 years old. Even after 30 years I still love it.
My favorite things to cook
I cook and bake daily, even with working full time. In the mornings it may be pancakes, muffins, coffee cakes, biscuits --my family have their favorites they request, but if it has chocolate chips in it then it's their favorite. I also do a lot of baking. I love baking on the weekends especially when the weather gets cooler.
My cooking triumphs
Any triumph is when you try a new recipe and everyone loves it.
My cooking tragedies
One time I was making apple strudel, using my grandmother's recipe and after rolling out the dough, filling with the apples, nuts, butter, cinnamon and sugar, I carefully rolled my creation brought the pan to the table to place the strudel on it and as soon as the strudel landed on the pan, it slipped from my hand and I had strudel all over the kitchen floor. What a disaster!!
