About this Cook
I love to cook, hate to bake. People love my food but I would like to learn more about herbs and spices and how to use them to enhance dishes. Grilling is my favorite and a specialty of mine is grilled vegetables and anything on a skewer.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite meals are lasagna, grilled shrimp, kabobs, roasted variations of potatoes, and anything creamy! Just getting into Dutch oven cooking over coals.
My cooking tragedies
I left the broiler on with the oven door shut (had made a pizza and the last couple of minutes I put it on broil so the top would get done) and about 20 minutes later, I heard an explosion and the glass on my oven door shattered into thousands of pieces. A long time ago, I put a pyrex pan on top of the stove forgetting that I had just used the burner and it was still very hot...again, shattered glass all over the kitchen.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole
My husband loved this, I thought it lacked a bit of seasoning and needed more corn. I liked it better with salt and pepper. Maybe a little sugar baked in would have been good. I will make it again but next time will use another drained can of whole kernal corn in addition to the amount all ready in there.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
Absolutely the creamiest au gratin potatoes I have ever had. Just a real good comfort food. It is the right balance of potato and cheese flavor. Would definitely make it again without changing a thing. My family loved them.

Easy Cheese Ball II
This cheeseball is so easy to make and very good. Every time my husband has a potluck or some kind of celebration at work he asks me to make this cheeseball. He gets requests for it all the time by his co-workers. It needs to be refridgerated for at least a few hours prior to serving or it can be a bit salty. I cover mine in finely shredded cheese rather than nuts because my family does not like nuts. The cheese works just as well.
