Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
This would be a great and easy way to make a recipe...but with a few minor adjustments. Like another reviewer said, you could keep the pan at a low heat to melt the cheese and "grill" the bread. Though, to quicken the process, the way my mom and I do it is by heating the bread first until both sides become a little crispy over medium/medium-high heat. Of course, before heating, we add the butter (optional: melted) on BOTH sides. Then once both sides have been heated, flip one slice of bread, add the cheese on top, and place the other bread without flipping. This way, the warmer sides of the breads would touch the cheese and start the melting process sooner. Then continue heating both sides of the sandwich until both sides have turned golden brown and the cheese has melted. This recipe is a great treat for a snack or meal! My family loves them!
