I've been married for 10 years and have 2 children. I love to cook/bake/make candy, especially for others. It's such a great feeling to see people enjoying your creations. Anything homemade really. Growing up my family was very big on making things from scratch. We are Polish, so making all of the ethnic foods are a must...even my kids love doing it. I love to make creative cakes and sweet treats. For all the Holidays, I try to make something neat for the kids. My sister and I get together one night in mid December and have a cookie baking marathon throughout the night and weeee hours of the morning. We also make different flavored truffles, chocolate covered pretzels, and different candies for the Holidays. We try to make the traditional things you expect at Christmas, but also try to add something new. Everything is such a hit with everyone that our "traditional" list gets bigger every year! When I first got married, even though around cooking all my life and knowing how to, I was very intimidated having to do it everyday for my husband. It's a rarity for me not to be cooking. I would also have to say our truffles...they are enjoyed by everyone that eats them and I've been asked to make them for special occassions for others. I love it! Can't say I've really had any. Maybe burning something on the grill and having a grease fire.
