I live in upstate New York and I am a kitchen designer so pretty much most of my time is spent around kitchens! I love it! I love to bake. Cheesecakes, cookies, cakes, anything! My grandfather was from Italy so I love to make Italian food. We spent a lot of time cooking together when I was growing up. My mom and I would spend one Saturday after Thanksgiving making cookies all day. There would be dozens of cookies on every table in the house! Probably several things. My sister-in-law asked me to make a wedding cake for a friend at work. I made it, it was beautiful, and I now make a few cakes a year on the side. Also, when I was twelve, I started making five course dinners for my parents as their birthday present. I love to make BIG dinners so they were usually laying on the floor in the dining room by the time I was done serving them. :) Any time that something fails and I am reluctant to try it again is a tragedy for me. I always try to force myself to do it again.
