My favorite family cooking traditions
we always help my mom bake white cookie cutouts on holidays. my favorite part? decorating! my family always has mint grasshopper shakes on christmas eve when my cousins are staying here.
My cooking triumphs
i was determined to make lemon bars, one of my favorite desserts,(i had never made them before) so i searched this site for a recipe and i found a german one...i experimented and mastered it! we make them for every special occasion now.
My cooking tragedies
im not a very experienced chef, but there was a time that me and my mom were baking cookies that involved having 2 mixtures in separate bowls and i was taking one of the bowls over to the other side of the counter and i dropped it! it was a HUGE mess and we had to remake that mixture. and besides the typical breaking of eggs and spilling of milk, thats the worse thats ever happened to me!
