These are great, even with a few unplanned modifications. I broke the cardinal rule of not making sure I had all the ingredients before starting these and had to improvise a bit. I didn't have shortening so I used butter and I didn't end up having enough white flour so I used half wheat. They still came out great. Thanks for this recipe!

This is my recipe, I just wanted to note that unfortunatly the salty was supposed to come from peanuts, which some how got left out of the recipe when edited. I usually use all differnt types of nuts, which didn't get included so maybe try that! :)

I was little skeptical about making these and unfortunately my apprehensions were confirmed. These were a bit too dense for my liking and I think maybe if I had omited the whole wheat flour and only used all purpose white flour I would have enjoyed them more.
