Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

SOOOOOO Extremely easy to make. Served it on toasted kaiser rolls and 4 out of 5 family members loved it. My 15 year old son thought it was "ok". Will DEFINITELY be making this again....

Savory Chicken Breasts

Good basic recipe. I doubled it for our family of 5 and used Ritz cracker crumbs instead of the bread crumbs because it was what I had on hand. All in all, a recipe worth repeating.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
Awesome recipe. Per other reviewers I substituted vegetable oil for the melted butter. I also opted to make the full 12 muffins the tin would hold as opposed to just 10 as called for in the recipe. Turned out great.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
I made this for dinner and it was wonderful. I was out of beer (don't know how THAT happened) so I used red wine instead. The meat was VERY tender and delicious! I will make it again using beer to get that more authentic Au Jus flavor. Definitely a keeper!

Rainbow Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
Great recipe! Only changes I made were to use frozen broccoli florets blanched in the pasta cooking water for about the last 60 seconds of cooking (I didn't have any fresh and I HATE chopping!). Also, instead of all mozzarella I did 1/2 mozzarella and 1/2 shredded parmesan just out of personal preference. Hubby couldn't get enough. A DEFINITE keeper!! Went very well with grilled brats and was a refreshing change from the same old potato salad!!

Easy Spicy Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
I absolutely love this recipe. I serve it as a side dish to any grilled or baked dish my family of five may be having for dinner. They can't get enough. I do double (and sometimes triple) the recipe and dabble with the seasonings depending on what we're serving, but there are NEVER any leftovers!! A DEFINITE keeper.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

OMG Soooooo good!! I made this for dinner one night with tossed salad and breadsticks. My family of five almost ate ourselves stupid!! We thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast too!! The ONLY thing I changed was to use shredded parmesan on top just because that's what I keep on hand. Can't wait to make this for Thanksgiving brunch!! Thanks so much for the recipe!!

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Great recipe. It's a DEFINITE keeper... even my son who's not crazy about peppers cleaned his plate. I did sprinkle the meat with steak seasoning and then sauteed it with fresh garlic. I also added a swig of worcestershire to the sauce. As per other reviewers I had to add a little extra cornstarch at the end to get the sauce thick enough to my liking. I cooked everything on low for six hours and did not find my peppers too mushy. They were soft, but we like them that way :)

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
SUPER EASY RECIPE!! I made it using a devil's food cake mix and my sons LOVED them. I rounded the dough into about 3/4 inch balls and baked for 6 minutes at 350. They turned out perfectly. Since I always watch for cake mixes to go on sale, this is a MUCH cheaper alternative to store bought cookies!!

Hot 'n' Spicy Buffalo Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
We loved this. I used a bagged lettuce mix from the grocery store instead of chopping the lettuce. I also didn't have any bleu cheese so I just mixed 1/2 ranch dressing and 1/2 bleu cheese dressing for the salad dressing. This was sooooo easy to make and was on the table in about 15 minutes flat. DEFINITELY A KEEPER!

Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
My family loved this recipe. I also added bacon per other reviewers and browned the onions in the bacon drippings. I didn't have any heavy cream on hand so I used a can of evaporated milk. I also just used a potato masher in the pot instead of pureeing the potatoes. It was a little less "creamy" that way, but SOOO delicious! Will definitely make again. One note, I had to add a little milk to the soup for my one little bowl of leftovers the next day. It got REALLLLLY thick overnight. Was still fab though :)

My fifteen year old son loves to make these. They are super simple and delicious. A definite favorite in our household! We sometimes change the graham crackers to crushed oreos (makes it even more decadent) depending on what we have on hand.

My husband, 10 year old son and I loved these. Super simple recipe and ready in no time! The only change I made was to use Mexican Blend shredded cheese (and added a little more to our taste) because it's what I had on hand. Definitely a keeper!

Kentucky Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
I made this recipe because I was out of flour (which is what my "usual" banana recipe - off the 'nilla Wafers box - calls for). This turned out REALLY thick, more like banana paste than banana pudding. The flavor was pretty good, but I will not be making it again.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
Made the recipe exactly as written for a 4th of July party. Turned out well, had a lot of leftovers though. I ended up throwing about 1/2 of it away, because it turned a little too soggy to eat after sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. Will make again, but maybe scale down to 1/2 the recipe.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

I made this recipe for a 4th of July gathering and it was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! The only thing I changed was to substitute regular beer for the rootbeer just because it's what I had on hand. I used regular Kraft BBQ sauce (it was on sale for a dollar) and it was DELICIOUS!! Will be making this recipe again and again and again!!

Bacon Quiche Tarts

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
My family LOVED this recipe (I'm actually making it again this morning by request)! I used Grands buttermilk biscuits (they're a bit bigger than the ones the recipe calls for, so I pulled them into halves before pressing them into the muffin tin. I also follwed other reviewers suggestions and used cheddar cheese. Absolutely DELICIOUS!
