Chicken Korma II

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
wow - just finished making this and it is awesome. it's spicy because i used indian chili powder, but it's not overpowering (at least for us). i used FF half and half instead of the cream, and following the rest of the recipe to a T. (which is rare for me) i made this to use with some leftover roasted chicken. this needed no salt as the cashews were salted. perfect consistency. i cannot wait for dinner! thanks for the post Trina!

Beef Stew V

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
cooked in the crockpot. i didn't sear the meat first, but did coat with flour. added a small can of v-8 instead of the peeled tomatoes and beef stock instead of water and bouillon. i also added a handful of frozen peas. delicious everytime.

made this recipe as written, added some crushed pepper on our plates. smelled better than it tasted. a tad bland for us. probably will not make again.

this was good, although i thought is was going to be bigger. also disappointed that i "shared" from the recipe to get a coupon but never did. i also used the dry ranch dressing, not a big fan of dill.

well, i had to do a bit of improvising, but this was one good quick bread. i used dried onion flakes, and milk/lemon juice for the buttermilk. this was delicious, and i will most certainly make it again!

Always A Winner Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
i have to say, i really liked this a lot. i am not put off by the cinnamon in this as others have said. i didn't use as much honey, as i hate the way it burns on the grill. so, i used about 1/8 cup along w/1 pkg of truvia. i also used indian chili powder so i omitted the chipoltle chili powder and cayenne pepper. i so did not use OJ (didn't have any) but my lime was pretty juicy. i did use all of the other spices called for. this was a very good marinade and will use it again. thanks for the post lily's mama!

Marinated Flat Iron Steak

this was very good, but for some reason i was a little weirded out with the rosemary and beef. the flat iron steak was very tender. due to unforeseen circumstances, this marinated for 24 hours before grilling. i might use again. thanks for the post mrs lash!

wow - this was delicious! first time making lamb shanks too. i did not use beef broth, just chicken. i also put in a very small can of V8. i used almost a half bottle of Cotes du Rhone wine. (scaled down to 2) this was a fast, easy and tasty rich dish. served w/mashed potatoes. if i ever happen to make shanks again, this would be the recipe! thanks for the post S. Hodge!
