This is by far the best banana nut bread I've ever had. I first used this recipe about 6yrs ago. I make many loaves and give them out for Xmas. Everyone LOVES it and begs me for the recipe but I say no way Jose this recipe stays home with me. I did change one thing though. instead of the regular bananas, I used the tiny Ecuadorian bananas. those have a much more banana flavor then all of them I think. It's funny to see people arguing over the last slice.

I found that these are very good tasting but don't think about folding them. they broke like tile. I tried making them twice but nada. My guess is that there is to much lard or shortening.
