About this Cook
My grandmother was a great cook. I was never required to cook when I was growing up, something my grandmother would say I would have to do eventually. I was always curious to watch her prepare meals. She never measured anything, she just added ingredients and tasted along the way for flavor and added as needed. I use to be her taste tester. ;) I thoroughly enjoying cooking for my family and friends. I wish I had more time, but I try to be very creative.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook pasta dishes, beans (I'm Hispanic).I love to BBQ!!! I love to cook anything and be creative and redo recipes, adding my own touches.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of my family traditions is Thanksgiving. I cook the traditional turkey and everything is home made, from the stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato and green been casserole, orange cranberry sauce and can't forget the pumpkin and sweet potato pies. Because I am of Cuban decent, I also prepare the typical roast pork, with white rice and black beans.
My cooking triumphs
I think this year 2008, Thanksgiving dinner was the best of them all!!!!
My cooking tragedies
I have burnt a few dishes in my life time. Don't we all?? lol

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole
I actually had a similar recipe but without the butter and for a longer cooking time; I added the butter and cooked it according per this recipe and and it came out awesome!!
