About this Cook
So I just moved out on my own with my fiance... hehe, and so I'm really just learning how to cook besides the usual sidekicks and cold cereal! haha! I'm not doing so bad I dont think! I'm really starting to enjoy this cooking thing! My Fiance (who is a picky eater) even tells me I'm pretty good!
My favorite things to cook
I love making pasta! the sauce anyway... noodles are easy enough to boil and dont really require a lot of skill haha. But I really love messing around with spices and making it more then just tomatoe sauce!
My cooking triumphs
It might seem silly to the experianced cook, but I was so proud the day I made this awsome manacottie. It turned out so well! and everyone seems to love it! It's one of those recipies that I make regularily now. that and I'm so happy I havent burned anything yet! lol!
My cooking tragedies
nothing serious yet... I'm sure there will be something though... well there was this one time I accidently added like twice as much butter to these chocolate chip cookies I was making... it was such a simplt mistake!lol! gosh those were horrably greasy! haha

Butterscotch Squares
I've finally found this recipe after looking for so long! It's a personal favorite! However... WARNING!: Extremely sweet! Only for those with a big sweet tooth! I've made it at least a dozen times since I've found it and varied it up a bit. The first time I followed the recipe exactly, and it could have used more rice krispies. I've never before seen this made with rice krispies before, so I just added more marshmallows, witch also works great! I usually make it with 4 cups of rice krispies now though. (Decided I like the crunch that it adds!)Great sweet treat, super easy and super quick to make!

Orange Pork
Mmmm this was really good! As usual I switched up a couple things as suggested by other reviewers! The first time I made it I cut up the pork into strips and fried it in peanut oil. I cut back on the soy sauce and substituted with more OJ, and used brown sugar instead of white sugar and served it on white rice! The second time was even better! I used strips of chicken instead of pork and doubled the sauce (using the same changes as previously mentioned). Then I made it into a stir fry with a bag of frozen veggies! The kind with the sugar snap peas, water chestnuts, baby corn, and julienned carrots, and red and yellow peppers. Mixed in the chicken and sauce it was so good (there was plenty of sauce to coat the veggies and chicken!! It was great served with rice and spring rolls as a side!

Oven Fried Chicken III
This has been the best oven fried chicken I've ever made! The mayo makes all the difference. It turned out so moist. I used boneless skinless chicken breast when I made it, as well I doubled the garlic (love garlic!) and sometime's I'll experiment with different spices from different recipes (always using the mayo), but it's great just the way it is too! I dont usually measure out and use all the mayo that the recipe calls for, just enough to coat the chicken without it being too globby.
