Golden Sweet Cornbread

I made this for our fathers day dessert and everyone really seemed to like it. I wish it was a bit creamier, but I solved that problem by serving it hot with a BIG scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. My only other suggestion would be to double the graham cracker topping. I felt like it needed more than what the recipe made.

Italian Tomato Pasta Salad

I needed a quick, easy, yummy recipe and this fit the bill. After reading many helpful reviews I embarked on my attempt at this recipe and feel like I have a hit on my hands. I used fresh cherry tomatoes and basil from garden and then just added everything I could think of that I had on hand. Broccoli, cauliflower, red onion, olives, fresh parmesan (added it grated and shaved) and topped it off with a little sprinkle of kosher salt, fresh ground pepper and garlic.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

We LOVED this cobbler. I was looking for a way to use the Nectarines from our tree and this recipe was PERFECT! The only change I made was to sprinkle a little cinnamon over the top before baking.

Plum Clafouti

I thought this recipe was really good and SUPER easy. The only thing I might change is to cut the plums into smaller bite pieces. Other than that I thought this clafouti was great:)

Chicken Pot Pie I

This is a great comfort meal recipe that my husband and I both enjoyed. The only change I made was to steam frozen seasoned mixed veggies rather than plain canned ones.

Southern-Style Meat Sauce

I am glad that I read the reviews before I made this sauce. I did not add any salt, I cut way back on the chili powder (I didn't have flakes) and I add some balsamic. oh, and I also only used enough olive oil to lightly coat the pan before adding the onions...I would say I used, maybe, 1 TBS. The outcome was GREAT...even my husband liked it and he is VERY picky:)

Best Bruschetta Ever

Wow! This is easy and tasty. I served it on a sliced baguette at topped with a thin slice of parmesan cheese, then place under the broiler for a minute. Great snack or appetizer.

Easy Chocolate Fudge Cake

I served this to friends last night and everyone loved it! I did use the suggestion of baking it in a bundt pan it came out great. I served it with fresh whipped cream, raspberries and I drizzeled extra fudge sauce over the whole thing...so yummy!

Banana Pudding Cake

I loved this recipe and so did my husband. I did not make the glaze, becuase I thought it was great w/out it...and I saved the calories! The only other changes were...I could not find banana pudding so I used vanilla and I used 4 bananas which I am guessing is more than what is called for, but it turned out great!!! I can't believe moist this cake is.

Strawberry Pie II

This recipe is so good and so easy I can't believe it!!! I have never made any type of pie before, but I can honestly say this will become a staple at our house. I agree with the other reviewers that you need to use 4 tbsp of cornstarch and you need stir for the full 10 minutes. I followed their directions and my pie turn out PERFECT!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

I took the advise of past reviewers and roasted my garlic(I used the whole bulb!) before adding it to the potatoes and used the hand mixer rather than the blender. I thought the potatoes were really good, but could have been a bit creamier:)

English Trifle

OH, my gosh!!!! This triffle was SOOOO good:) I used strawberries, bananas, blueberries and kiwi. This recipe was so easy and such a huge hit with my husband and our guests that I will definitely make it again.
