About this Cook
I think what got me interested in cooking really was my time in the Marines, we would be out in the field for weeks or months eating nothing but MRE's every day. When i would finally make it home i would have feasts planned out for my weekend before we had to turn around and go back to the feild.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are desserts and breads. I also like preparing large meals for family gatherings ect.. It is very satisfying when a bunch of people come over to eat and watching them enjoy the meal i prepared for them. Good food makes anyone happy.
My cooking triumphs
Some of my cooking triumphs are finally getting my chocolate chip cookie recipie fine tuned to perfection, and finally learning how to make a perfect loaf of bread.

Bread and Celery Stuffing
this was my first attempt at baking stuffing, and have never had stuffing come out good from inside the bird, so i was a little nerves going into this, but i followed the recipie and it came out perfect. I didnt get a chance to let my bread cubes dry so i baked them in the oven till crunchy. other than that i followed the recipie as writen. made it the day before thanksgiving and just threw it into the oven for about 20 min, heated up good. when adding the liquid some of the peices soaked up alot of liquid wich kind of scared me but in the end it turned out with a nice balace of moisture .

Buffalo Chicken Wings I
i baked my wings. 1. steam wings for 10 min, (you want to steam them to render some of the fat out of them so they can be cooked on such a high heat. learned it from the show good eats, makes a very crisp and juciy wing.) place on 1/2 sheet lined w/ parchment and a wire rack & pat dry then put in fridge for 1 hr. . 2. place in 425 degree oven and bake for 20 min and rotate for another 20 min. then combined with the sauce recipe. for seasoning i used koshar salt, fresh black pepper, garlic/onion powder, and some paparika. Came out very nice, good tangy taste with a nice hot aftertaste. Some recipies i have tried were way to buttery tasting this has a very good taste.

Peanut Butter Bars I
Followed recipie to begin with, after i had it all mixed up there was way to much butter in it, tasted more like peanut butter flavored butter so i added more of everything else. Next time ill only use 1 stick of butter, but it came out good they were gone in about 20 min.
