This is a very nice soup, but I found that apart from parsnip (obviously), the other flavours were warring with each other a bit. It just came over as spicy parsnip, which was a bit disappointing after all the work! I will make it again though, and I may try fresh minced ginger and no allspice, as this I think, might have been a little overpowering.

I have just finished eating my first slice of this tart and I'm still drooling a bit....love the intense lemonyness of it. By the way, the recipe calls for a tablespoon of lemon zest. I put in only a dessert spoon and it was quite zesty enough!

I had Greengage plums from the garden at work and I decided to use this recipe for them. Delicious. I'll definitely make it again but I think I'll be adding more crumble mixture on top as it was a little bit bare. It all fell apart too easily, although it was being eaten too fast for this to get noticed much!
