Pumpkin Dip
I halved the sugar and doubled the spices and was happy with the result. Oh I also left out the orange concentrate because I forgot to buy any The cons of my adjustments: Less powdered sugar made the dip a bit runnier than it would've been. I think adding the orange juice concentrate would have added a valuable tang that was missing. The pros of my adjustment: Guests didn't die of a sugar overload. And the extra spices really made the dip taste like pumpkin pie filling.

Hearty Garlic Potato Soup
A solid potato soup as is or modified to taste. I add paprika for a bit more kick

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup
I need a recipe to get me started on making split pea soup the first time and this was a good choice. I upped the oregano by quite a bit and added additional seasoning to suit my tastes. I've got leftovers in the freezer and will be enjoying this again in a few weeks. When I make it next, I am planning to use a mushroom broth for at least a portion of the liquid to try and get a bit more depth of flavor.
