Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
This is a good apple pie but did add about a quarter cup of water to the syrup mixture as it did thicken too much. As with every recipe it is all about a matter of personal taste and I would have added spices to the mixture. Unlike other reviewers I did not have a problem with a soggy bottom crust or it being to sweet or tart. I think a cook really has to adjust the measurements themselves based on the end result of they syrup mixture. If it is too thick to pour, just add water until it thins out a bit. I am only giving this 4 stars as I feel it did need some spice, but the recipe is a very good one otherwise.
