About this Cook
I am almost 28 years old and never cooked a day in my life until I realized I could make food look pretty. My husband and I have been married for over 5 years now and I didn't cook at all the first year. I was watching a cooking show and it looked so aesthetically appealing, I wanted to make it! After that, I continued to search for not only good tasting but good looking recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Each week I choose a different ingredient that I have never cooked / baked with and use it to learn how to prepare it and sometimes to learn what it tastes like. I like to cook chicken and pastas the most.
My cooking triumphs
I catered a small party for work a few years back and everything was a hit! That's when I really started to cook a lot!
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make candy one time without using a candy thermometer...big mistake. You must have a candy thermometer!

Turkey Ragu with Fontina and Parmesan
Ground turkey was buy 1 get 1 free this week and so I needed to find a recipe that I could use it. I made this and was really glad. I used parmigano instead as that was all I had and it worked fine! I love this recipe because it was easy and very healthy.

Tzatziki Sauce
I was very disappointed with this recipe because it was still too watery and I even drained the yogurt overnight and salted and drained the cucumbers for about 3 hours. I didn't like the consistency of it either. I will not be making this again.

Graham Cracker Pudding Pie
This was very easy and could have been easier if instant pudding was used. The recipe calls for 2 5oz boxes of pudding and I used just one of the small 1.5 oz boxes and thought it was plenty!
