About this Cook
I'm just a teenage boy that has an overwhelming desire to cook. Baking is my favorite and specialty, but any kind of cooking is fun to me. When I'm not cooking I'm outside playing in the sun.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts of any sort are my favorite things to cook because its nearly impossible to gain a negative reception with a fudgy pan of brownies or a moist decadent rum cake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family all gathers at Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving and a couple other times a year just because we feel like it and my Grandma makes an awesome southern dinner complete with mashedp potatoes and gravy, lima beans, pork roast, biscuits, macaroni cheese the works!
My cooking triumphs
I made some of the best bagels me or anyone else in my family has ever tasted and if you have ever tried to make them they take a significant amount of work between the kneading, boiling, broiling, and baking.Ice cream, brownies, mason jar cobbler, rhubarb pie, dinner whatever it may be my family all agrees that i can whip up a 4 or 5 star creation whatever it may be. Recently, i just created my first original recipe, pumpkin cheesecake muffins and everyone loved them!
My cooking tragedies
The closest thing I've had to a cooking tragedy is cookies that were slightly overdone going from chewy/crispy to down-right crunchy.

Banana Muffins II
Very good muffins. I replaced half the butter with applesauce and added a little spice and nuts and they turned out grea. However, do not eat hot out of the oven. They taste much better after cooling!

Pumpkin Pie Pudding
Very good, but pumpkin pie is still better. As others have said, was done much sooner. I served it with some whipped cream and it was very good.

Simple Baked Apples
I made this for dessert and served it warm with half-and-half on top. It was delicious. My dad said the only thing he would change is make a bigger bowl next time.
