It tasted great! And it was easy to make. Made it this way for many years. I like using peanut oil when frying, it gives you a great taste and flavor.

These pasties are the real thing ,my Mom use to make them and she was from Ironwood,Michigan. Knew the story of the miners enjoying them to.My mother sometimes would grate everything alittle finer and put it into a 12 inch pie pan.And serve the pasty by the slice it was soo flavorful.I,m glad it cooling off outside.because the oven will be baking some pasties soon. Followed the recipe and they came out really good. Added a pinch of jack cheese on the top melted in well. Will have these again.They were easy to make.
