28 year old NYC teacher and former pastry chef who spends her days educating preschoolers and her nights cooking up a storm for herself (light meat eater) and her vegetarian fiancee. Don't ask me where I get the energy or time to cook.
My favorite things to cook
Due to my heritage, Colombian and Chinese foods always come first in my kitchen. Then its American classics, Italian pastas, Middle Eastern spiciness, Mediterranean light foods. Everything gets a vegetarian or vegan tweak to them to satisfy my fiancee's bottomless appetite (I'm the carnivore).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Was raised on Chinese roast duck on Thanksgiving and Colombian arepas con chorizo (corn patties and sausage) on Christmas mornings. Just started a pizza making party tradition on Sundays for my fiancee and I to begin for our own family.
My cooking triumphs
an empty scraped up plate or bowl
My cooking tragedies
a sink full of dirty dishes and a tired me too exhausted to clean them.
