About this Cook
I have been cooking for as long as i can remember. My parents (especially mom), have been telling me stories about how I used to cook when I was just a little girl. I have plenty pictures of me cooking when i was little, and i have been finding more and more ever since! I really enjoy going to resturaunts, potlucks, dinner get-togethers, etc. I feel that not everyone who thinks they can cook actually... can. that is why i love the recipe exchange, where i can communicate with other people who like and actually can cook; not to mention people who understand me! I have been on Allrecipes for most of my life, and found the recipe exchange and my Allrecipes in summer '09.
My favorite things to cook
I hover over many cultures. I usually get hooked cultures for a short period of time before moving to another. I especially like: French, German, Italian, Indian, Maxican, Chinese, Thai, and other cuisine of the like. But i don't like anything more than baking cupcakes, cookies, and bars! :D
My favorite family cooking traditions
Two words- hot chocolate. My grandma made the best homemade hot chocolate, handed it down to my mom, who then handed it down to me!
My cooking triumphs
making mango glazed ham steak and ham steak with mmango salsa both while i was 7... yeah, i don't know how i remember that one! :P
My cooking tragedies
I have to pick ONE? well... i can't! how about the time i made cupcakes in the most expensive liners i could find, then having the cupcakes overflow all over the oven! or the time i was making taffy in the microwave and the bowl exploded! literally! :O

Apricot-Filled Pinwheels
I loved this recipe! it is very versatile, and you can use any jam/jelly or curd for the filling as long as you're sure that you don't over-fill them! I did, and made a huge mess on the sheet pan. the dough has a very flaky, puff-pastry-like quality to it! instead of rolling it into squares, etc. I rolled each half into a rectangle (about 1/2 inch thick), spread on the filling, and rolled it up! be sure to grease the pan, for they stick easily! this is a fantastic recipe, and i highly recommend it! thanks for sharing! :D
