About this Cook
I love to be creative in all aspects of my life and the kitchen is definitely a place I love to express myself! I love trying new recipes if I could I would try a new one EVERY day! I love cooking! Call me weird but there is just something about chopping veggies that kinda puts me in a peaceful mood. Haha yes I can be a little strange!
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE spicy! So many recipes I try are spicy! Recipes that use onions are probably my favorite I love the taste onions give to dishes its one of my favorite foods to cook with though I hate having onion hands! I use rubber gloves to cut them when I can though! haha I love baking and making sweets too. I really need to ease up on them or find healthier sweets because of my diet! I love using veggies and having a colorful mix in my recipes also. I'm always looking for a good recipe in the summer/fall to use up my garden veggies!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well my family comes from the south and deep in Kentucky so there are a lot of those country style meals I've learned from my fathers side of the family that have been passed down. I think the thing that made me like to cook so much is the fact that my mom hates it so much and used to cook boxed dinners all the time lacking much flavor in my opinion we had the same 7 meals all the time for years and years. She loved baking but hated cooking dinner lol! Whats easiest wins with her and I just got so tired of eating the same prepackaged 7 meals or so... So I started cooking for myself. Though even as a kid looking after my younger siblings while my parents worked I used to cook dinner. I always loved cooking so many times I would experiment using them as my guinea pig as I made up recipes that now make me cringe. Such as fried lettuce in butter with garlic, tomato soup, and steak sauce over spaghetti hahahaha my brothers didnt mind at all they ate and enjoyed!
My cooking triumphs
I have had quite a lot.. I think my fajitas are delicious! The best I've tasted. I make a mean gyro with fresh yummy tzatziki sauce too! I have made many great recipes over the years..
My cooking tragedies
oh man this one time I was cooking a recipe that was for ricotta chicken with spinach and for some stupid reason I thought if I cooked it in a bag it would be so much better instead of following what the directions said.. It turned out to be the WORST meal I have ever cooked! Coined "sock chicken" for its awful flavor tasting like feet and the texture left much to be desired. I cooked this probably like 6 years ago yet I never live it down any new recipes I try people say "this better not be like your sock chicken"! Even though most times people really enjoy my meals!

Cherry Ham Glaze
This glaze is divine! I will NEVER use any jarred or packaged glazes again! This is delicious as is or even with pineapple preserves or changing it up with different kinds so it can be very versatile recipe. Cherry preserves is still my favorite kind to use! This dresses up even the cheapest hams and make them taste so expensive! I've had people ask me for this recipe many many times! Thank you so much for sharing!

Thai Chicken Burgers
These are FANTASTIC!! I love the flavor and the coconut-mint mayo is a perfect compliment! My dad who is SUPER DUPER picky and never tries anything new actually surprised me and tried one and he had to come back for seconds! Seriously he forgot all about the burgers he made! haha Now trust me that is saying A LOT! They are good on the grill or I've made them on my foreman grill and they are just as awesome! The only issue I have is not knowing when they are cooked fully with them being red so make sure you have your dandy meat thermometer handy! Thanks for the recipe its a real winner!
