About this Cook
I'm a casual cook who is trying to begin a pescatarian diet and looking for new recipes that don't involve meats. Also looking to experiment with new ways to bake.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and I also love both meals and desserts with aromatic spices in them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My father had been a baker and we would bake pies, danish, and other delights every holiday season together with my siblings.
My cooking triumphs
Successful making homemade icing and creating my first layer cake with it.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to cook with Tempeh...the most disgusting dinner I've ever attempted.

Hummus III
I read the reviews and did as they stated: only adding 4TBL of Tahini and 2TBL of Lemon, which worked better to my tastes. Added a 1/2 tsp of cumin and I also kept the drained water to add back to the mix to give it a consistency I liked. However, it was entirely too salty. I suggest decreasing the salt by 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. Great starter recipe though. All the others on the website didn't have the ingredients (or the reviews) this one did.

Baked Shrimp and Asparagus
Added: garlic and black pepper to the mixture before cooking. Other than that a great recipe idea! Thanks so much!

Zesty Tilapia with Mushrooms
Dried mushrooms were chewy and disgusting. I recommend using canned mushrooms instead. Other than that, the fish tasted great.
