About this Cook
I love summer, music, writing running, baking, bicycling, and being with great people. I love sweets because it's the one thing that absoloutely everybody I know falls for. Once I was hanging out in my favorite bakery, just chatting, and these 3 really punk looking kids came in and the biggest, palest, scariest one asked for one of the cinnamon rolls the baker was icing. You should have seen his face, he was so excited I swear he was drooling. He went from glaring down at me like he was about to kill a kitten to being totally human. And all for a stupid little cinnamon roll! I love that!
My favorite things to cook
Sweets. haha!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pumpkin Pie and Pitzells. :)
My cooking triumphs
My super secret brownie recipie! Ah. It's delicious. But I actually find that buying boxed Hershey's mix tastes just about the same... curious.
My cooking tragedies
Oh. I made oatmeal cookies once and they were as tough as boards. Turns out when Paula Dean says to add alot of shortening, she means ALOT.

Easy Sugar Cookies
MMM. The flavor on these is great! They are perfect. They come out best if you make small cookies. And watch not to leave them in too long! A minute or so can mean the difference between soft and crunchy texture. :)

Peachy Moist Muffins
They were so flufy and puffed up perfectly! But I wasn't much of one for the peachy flavor. I'll try this again subbing a little milk for the peaches and adding some spices or choclate chips. But i would still call them a sucess, just not my faves.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
AAHHH. Heaven in a cookie, if i do say so myself. They aren't cakey at all. I'm tired of being really excited about a recipie and getting stuck with puffy little excuses for cookies that wish they could be muffins. I needed a cookie with some meat on it's bones, and I got one. Next time, i'll add some crushed peanuts to the mix and see what happens. :)
