About this Cook
Before I left home, I had only cooked KD and soup, really. After going through post-secondary school, I now live with my boyfriend of 2 years. I discovered about 6 months ago how much I love to cook. Doesn't matter what it is, I love trying new recipes and experimenting with different things. I also try to eat as organic as I can, which is a little difficult where I live, but I'm trying to incoporate more into my cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake: cookies, squares, breads, cakes, you name it.
My cooking triumphs
My first-ever lemon meringue pie that turned out, and tasted, perfect. Also lamb chops I recently did up that were awesome - I had never had lamb before and I now love it.
My cooking tragedies
One of the first times using my very hot oven, I ended up reeeally burning a batch of oatmeal cookies.

Peanut Blossoms II
My two favourite things.. chocolate and peanut butter. I used hershey's kisses with caramel in the center for half the batch and hershey's kisses with almonds in the center for the rest of the batch. I didn't use shortening, but used butter instead. I took them out of the oven when they just started to brown and they were perfect. Other than that, I kept everything the same. Very easy recipe and they look great when they are done baking.

Melt - In - Your - Mouth Shortbread
These are so good! It was my first time making shortbread so I was a bit worried. However, these are very easy to make and turned out perfect when I followed the recipe exactly.

Zucchini Herb Casserole
I love this recipe, I've made it a couple times now and I always double the rice in it, but leave everything exactly the same.
