Beef and Lentil Soup
One of my all time favorite soups! I do make a few alterations when I make this but I stick pretty close to the over all idea of the recipe (I use veggie broth vs. chicken, do not like cilantro or celery, use veggie meat instead of real). This recipe shows me that some of the real winners on this site do not necessarily have hundreds or thousands of reviews. This is a real hidden gem!

Baked Tofu Bites
I was really surprised because I found these kind of bland as far as "kick" goes but overly salty. I normally just toss the tofu in some BBQ sauce of some variety and some honey and drizzle extra honey on top in between flips in the oven. Considering that is so simple I wanted to try something new. This recipe sounded great but I really did not care for the flavor. I will experiment with the ingredients as I always do and see if I can come up with a variation that I prefer more.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Taste was 4 stars but the dough was so sticky it was impossible to roll out and make cut outs with. I had to roll out with my hands and just ended up making regular circle cookies. I let it sit in the fridge for several hours and also continued to add flour while attempting to roll out. EDIT: I just remade these cookies and they were fabulous with some changes. I only put in 3 eggs, added 1 cup of sugar (3 total), did 2 tsps of vanilla, and I left them in the fridge for about 3 hours. The dough was not sticky at all this time. I rolled them out onto sugar coated wax paper with a flour coated rolling pin. They were easy to make cutouts with this time. This is my 2nd attempt at this recipe and only my 2nd time EVER making cookies. My husband ate 6 right out of the oven!!
